CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The Lady Trailblazers continued their conference slate on Tuesday evening as they took on the Red Wolves from IU East in the Maxwell Center. Coming off a huge RSC victory one week prior over the University of Rio Grande, OCU was hoping to continue their early season success by taking down one of the conference's top contenders.
The Red Wolves, led by Head Coach Abigail Niekamp, entered Tuesday evening with an overall record of 9-13 and a 3-0 record in the RSC. The game would be controlled by IU East the majority of the evening, as the Red Wolves would capitalize on their opportunities to sweep the match in three sets.
As a team, the Lady Trailblazers would total 16 kills, 10 assists, and 44 digs. Individually, Kiara Rohrer would lead OCU with five kills and five digs, as well as one solo block. Ohio Christian now stands at 8-9 overall and 1-1 within the RSC. Next up, the Lady Trailblazers will travel to IU East on Saturday to participate in the Red Wolves Quad Match. OCU is scheduled to face both IU Kokomo and Cincinnati Christian University.
