CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The Lady Trailblazers continued their 2017 River States Conference slate on Tuesday evening as they faced the Pioneers from Point Park University. OCU would show up ready to play, taking Point Park deep into the first two sets to keep the game neck and neck. Despite strong play from multiple areas, the Pioneers would finish strong in each of the first three sets to take the game 3-0.
Point Park would lead the game in offensive statistics, finishing with 42 total kills in comparison to Ohio Christian's 24. The Lady Trailblazers would have a solid night at the net, finishing with four solo blocks and six block assists. Senior Lexi Jacobs would finish the game with 10 kills, three digs, and two block assists to lead the team. Lauren Ray would also have a good night, finishing with four kills and a solo block.
The loss moves Ohio Christian to 8-12 on the season and 1-4 in River States Conference play. Next up, the Lady Trailblazers will host Kentucky Christian University on Thursday evening at 7 PM. On Saturday, Ohio Christian will host a River States Conference quad match including Indiana University Southeast, Brescia University, and Indiana University East. Those games will take place at 12 PM and 2 PM.
