RIO GRANDE, OH - The Lady Trailblazers faced the Red Storm from Rio Grande on Thursday evening as they continued to search to find their identity within the River States Conference. Entering the night at 3-4-1, OCU was in search of the win that could get them back on track toward the success they saw in 2016.
The game would be played close in the first half, as the Red Storm would score the lone goal of the half to take a 1-0 lead into the break. Despite seeing quality opportunies to tie the game, the Lady Trailblazers would be held scoreless the length of the game. Rio Grande would go on to score twice in the second half, leading to the 3-0 loss for OCU. The Lady Trailblazers now stand at 3-5-1 with another road matchup against the Golden Bears of West Virginia Tech scheduled for Saturday.
"Tonight was really not our best effort," said Head Coach Jake Warren. "It was a tought matchup and overall a disappointing game. With that being said, we are looking forward to another challenge this weekend at West Virginia Tech."
