RIO GRANDE, OH - Entering Thursday evening, the Trailblazers knew they would have their hands full as they were set to face the #3 ranked team in the NAIA in the University of Rio Grande. Despite the experienced opposition, OCU was hoping to have a quality showing in hopes of continuing their growth within the conference.

As expected, the Red Storm would jump out to a quick lead, scoring twice in the first 37 minutes on two headers from Rio Grande's Spencer Reinford. On offense, the Trailblazers would struggle to push the ball toward the goal, leading to few opportunities at the net. The Red Storm would go on to add three goals in the second half to take the 5-0 victory. OCU now stands at 2-8 and 1-1 in RSC play.

"We played an extremely strong team and we focused on working hard and being selfless," said Head Coach Josh Murton. "We accomplished our mission perfectly, the score just didn't go our way. This is a great experience for us and it will help us grow into the rest of the season."
