CIRCLEVILLE, OH - After a tough matchup against the University of Rio Grande on Thursday, the Lady Trailblazers soccer team faced another tall task on Saturday afternoon as they were set to face the Golden Bears from West Virginia Tech. Despite a much better team effort from OCU, West Virginia would score on two occasions and manage to keep the lead for the 2-0 victory.

In the first half, the Golden Bears would execute a well-designed corner kick to take an early lead at the 20 minute mark. The score would remain at 1-0 for the majority of the game, as both defenses locked down in a defensive battle. The Lady Trailblazers would only muster four shots on goal, as the offense would struggle to generate more opportunities. Emily Boyd would have another good performance defending the goal, as she would save 14 out of the 16 shots on goal from the Golden Bears.

"I thought we played a lot harder today and better than we did Thursday," said Head Coach Jake Warren. "Unfortunately, we did not have a lot of success generating enought attacking chances and had a few slip ups defensively." The Lady Trailblazers now stand at 3-6-1 as they will prepare for a home matchup against Carlow University on Thursday.
