WAYNESBURG, PA - The Trailblazers (7-7) came up on the losing end of a 4-1 score on Tuesday night at NCAA affiliate, Waynesburg University.
The Yellow Jackets (8-1-1) jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first half with goals in the 35th and 36th minute. Waynesburg then scored another pair of goals in the second half in the 47th and 51st minute to push their lead to 4-0.
The OCU defense tightned up the rest of the way, not allowing another goal to Waynesburg over the next 38 minutes. In the 55th minute, Trevor Lewis blasted a goal from 28 yards out to put the Trailblazers on the board.
The Blazers were unable to score again as Waynesburg went on to win 4-1. OCU had a total of 8 shots in the game comparted to 16 by Waynesburg.
OCU is back in action this weekend as they travel to NCCAA #1 ranked, Moody Bible on Saturday. The match is set for a 3:00 PM start. Ohio Christian enters the match as the 5th ranked team in the NCCAA coaches poll.
