KNOXVILLE, TN - OCU won their first-ever women's soccer Regional Championship on Satuday, advancing to the NCCAA National Tournament.  The Trailblazers advanced after coming out on top ina shootout against Kentucky Christian University.  

The Blazers edged out the Knights in the shootout to claim the regional banner.  Both teams finished tied at 0-0 after regulation and a pair of overtimes, forcing the shootout.

Lexi Shafran was stellar in the goal, allowing no goals in regulation in and the two overtimes.  Miranda Anter had a sensational game and capped it off with kicking the winning penalty kick.

With the Regional Title now in hand, Ohio Christian will now prepare for their very first NCCAA National Tourmament appearance in Florida.
