CIRCLEVILLE, OH - Ohio Christian battled the #6 ranked team in the NAIA on Saturday afternoon, locking up with the Eagles of Robert Morris University.  The game proved to be a close one as the Trailblazers stayed withing arms reach of the talented Robert Morris squad from Chicago, Illinois.

The Trailblazers overcame turnover troubles in the first half and were able to stay close with RMU.  A 7-2 run to close the half brought Ohio Christian to within 5 points with the score at 45-40 heading into the intermission.

Robert Morris answered with a 7-0 run to open the second half to jump out to twelve point lead.  OCU battled back behind strong interior play and a putback by Lawrence Parsons to cut the lead back to single digits midway through the second half.  A Danny Schrock three pointer capped off a 7-3 run by OCU to get back to within 7 points.

Sean Montgomery helped Robert Morris answer back, hitting a pair of three pointers late in the game, to push the lead back to double digits.  The 6th ranked Eagles closed out the game down the stretch, coming away with the 87-73 victory.

The Trailblazers outrebounded RMU 43-38 in a strong effort.  Shooting woes plagued Ohio Christian, shooting 27 of 75 for 36%.  The Blazers shot a frigid 6 of 25 from downtown for 24%.  Robert Morris shot an even 50% for the game as they went 33 for 66 from the field and 12 of 24 from three.

OCU is back in action next weekend as they play in the Marietta College Tournament.  OCU will take on host Marietta at 8:00 PM on Friday.
