SPRINGFIELD, OH - Ohio Christian capped off their Thanksgiving week by heading to Wittenberg University on Saturday afternoon. OCU came up short on the road, falling 83-56 to a talented Wittenberg squad.
OCU found themselves down 34-17 to open the game. Wittenberg went into halftime with a 37-21 lead.
Wittenberg stayed in command and pushed the lead to 30 points in the second half at 83-53 before going on for the 83-56 win.
Ohio Christian struggled on the glass, losing the rebounding battle 47-31. Wittenberg enjoyed an advantage at the free throw line, hitting 24 of 32 attempts while OCU connected on 5 of 9 attempts. OCU's bench tallied 20 points while Wittenberg's scored 34.
The Trailblazers were led by Asia Woodson who scored 17 points on 7 of 21 shooting from the field. Shekinah Alexander added 11 points and 8 rebounds. Maddie Joseph and Olivia Davis each added 8 points in the contest.
OCU is back in action next weekend as the travel to Asbury University to take on Asbury and UC-Clermont in Wilmore, Kentucky. Asbury edged out OCU 66-54 in their first meeting back in November.
