WILMORE, KY - The Lady Trailblazers bounced back from a loss against Asbury University on Thursday night by coming away with a big 74-62 win over UC-Clermont on the 2nd day of the tournament.
The Trailblazers were in control the entire night as they put away their in-state rival to finish at 1-1 in the tournament. OCU held a slim lead in the first half and was able to head into the locker room with a 33-30 lead at the intermission.
OCU was fueled by strong perimeter play as Trailblazer shooters knocked down a total of 11 three-pointers on 23 attempts on the night. Ohio Christian pushed their lead to double-digits in the second half and never looked back as they coasted to a 74-62 win.
Asia Woodson led the way with a game-high 20 points on 9 of 17 shooting from the field. Shekinah Alexander had a great all-around performance with 11 points, 7 assists, and 5 rebounds. Olivia Davis and Maddie Joseph each tossed in 9 points in the win. Sarah Bechtel and Brittany Rucker each added 8 points.
The Blazers are back in action after a break for finals week as the travel to Alice Lloyd College on Saturday, December 14th for a 2:00 PM contest.
