CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY - The OCU Trailblazers came out of the gate quickly at Campellsville University on Friday night but were unable to hang on in the second half, coming up on the losing end of a 94-71 score.

Ohio Christian played even with Campbellsville in the first five minutes as the Blazers found themselves knotted up a 13-13 at the 14:39 mark.  OCU then used a 14-6 run over the next six minutes, capped off by a pair of Nic Baker three point baskets, to take a 27-19 lead with 9:33 remaining in the half.

Campbellsville fought back and dominated the final 9 minutes of the half, outscoring the Blazers 23-7 down the stretch to take a 42-34 lead into halftime.  

A three pointer by Kris Carius at the 15:16 mark of the second half brought the Blazers back to within six points at 56-50.  Campbellsville would then push the lead to double digits and go on for the 94-71 win.

OCU was led by Evin Bartlett with a team-high 19 points on 6 of 11 shooting.  Wesley Russell tallied 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists.  Ernie McCoy added 8 points and Nic Baker added 7 points for Ohio Christian.

The Blazers are back in action on Tuesday as they travel to the University of Rio Grande for a special holiday matinee which will be played in front of elementary school students starting at 12:30 PM.
