OCU - Wed, Jan. 22, 2014

GREENVILLE, SC - For the first time ever, OCU men's and women's basketball teams received the #1 ranking in both NCCAA National Polls during the same week.

The men's team has been ranked #1 in the national poll all season since winning the national title in March of 2013 and winning 29 straight games against NCCAA Division II competition.

The women's team defeated Kentucky Christian University last week in overtime to jump to #1 after being ranked #2 last week.  KCU was #1 in the poll last week before falling to OCU 93-90 last Tuesday in the Maxwell Leadership Center.

Both teams have been ranked #1 before in the national poll but never during the same week.  This marks the first time ever that both teams were ranked #1 in the same week of the NCCAA poll.

Both top ranked teams will be heading to Knoxville, Tennessee this weekend as they take on Johnson University on Friday night.  The women will start at 6:00 PM and the men will play at 8:00 PM.
