CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The OCU Trailblazers won their first-ever meeting with Morthland College on Friday night, coming away with a 105-73 win in the Maxwell Leadership Center.

Ohio Christian stormed out to a 20-11 lead in the opening 4 minutes of play.  The OCU offense continued to ride the momentum to a 60-35 halftime lead.

Morthland answered the bell early in the second half, using a 16-8 run to trim the lead to 17 points.  The Trailblazers used a 12-0 run to erase all hope of a Morthland run and dominated down the stretch to pull away for good.  The Blazers pushed their lead to 35 points at one point and went on for the 105-73 victory.

All-American guard Wesley Russell tallied a triple-double with 11 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds.  Evin Bartlett added 16 points and Ernie McCoy tossed in 13 points to give OCU big production at the point guard position.  Danny Schrock and Evan Mills each reached double figures with 11 points each.

OCU takes the court again on Saturday at 3:00 PM in the Maxwell Leadership Center against Welch College.
