CIRCLEVILLE, OH - Free throw shooting made all the difference for the OCU Lady Trailblazers on Thursday night in a 78-71 win over Miami University - Middletown.  The trio of Asia Woodson, Shekinah Alexander, and Te-Asia Smith would combine for 55 points to carry the OCU offense.

Brittany Rucker celebrated senior night and played in her final home game in the Maxwell Leadership Center.  Rucker delivered on a couple of timely three point baskets on the night to finish with six points.  After falling behind early, the Trailblazers used a 12-0 run to erase an early 18-10 first half deficit and take the lead.

After leading by a slim margin in the second half, Hamilton would make a late rally in the second half to tie the game.  The difference in the game would come at the charity stripe.  The visiting Harriers would miss 5 straight free throws late in the second half and finished a dismal 8 of 19 on free throws on the night for 42.1%.  OCU shot at a much higher clip, going 19 of 27 from the charity stripe for 70.4%.

OCU took advantage of the Miami Hamilton shooting woes to build a 75-71 lead.  The Trailblazers would finish off Miami Hamilton off at the free throw line to go on for the 78-71 victory.

The Lady Blazers are back in action next Thursday as they travel to UC-Clermont for a non-region road game in Batavia, Ohio.
