CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The OCU Trailblazers came away winless in a two day series vs NCAA Division II, Ohio Valley University.  The Scots won both games in West Virginia on Friday.  

In the first game, Trevor Whitesed scored on a wild pitch in the 5th inning as OCU trailed 3-1.  Brian Daria then sent a double to left field that plated Tanner Holt to bring the Blazers to within one at 3-2.  OCU played close but Ohio Valley added a run in the 5th and 6th innings as the Blazers would be edged out in game one by a score of 5-2.  

Ohio Valley went on to win the night cap by a score of 12-4 to take the two game sweep.  Trevor Whitesed, David Wright, and Caleb Penney all knocked in RBI's during OCU's four-run burst in the 5th inning.  Brian Daria went 2 for 4 from the plate and scored a run.

Kris Carius ImageBoth teams then headed north to Circleville on Saturday afternoon to continue the series.  Ohio Valley once again came out on top, this time by a score of 6-1.  OCU will look to get back on the winning track at Defiance College on Tuesday at 5:00 PM.

The Trailblazers will be adding pitcher and first baseman Kris Carius to the roster this week.  Carius, a two sport athlete, will be making the adjustment to baseball after finishing his first season as a member of the men's basketball program.
