DELAWARE, OH - OCU cross country started their season at the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational over the weekend and enjoyed some success on the course.  Dylan Newton (FR/Williamsport, OH) set the pace for the men with a time of 30:46 as he finished 80th overall.  Kara Bandy led the women's team with a time of 23:47 to finish 101st.

Sophomore Tim Allen (SO/McArthur, OH) enjoyed a solid showing, crossing the finish line in 32:36 to finish 105th overall.  With their times over the weekend, Allen, Bandy, and Newton all met the NCCAA national qualifying standards.

Bayleigh Ventura rounded out the women with a time of 26:48.  Jim Nicholson (FR/Delaware, OH) and Bobby Kratz (SR/Charleston, WV) finished 114th and 117th respectively.

The Trailblazers are back in action on September 20th when the compete in the Otterbein Invitational.
