CIRCLEVILLE, OH - Richie French (SR/Waverly, OH) turned in yet another strong pitching performance for the Trailblazers on Friday afternoon, tossing a complete game shutout in a 1-0 victory over West Virginia Tech.  French pitched all seven innings for Ohio Christian and surrendered only a pair of hits along with 4 strikeouts and no walks.

The Traiblazers engineered their lone run of the game in the bottom of the 2nd inning.  Tanner Holt (SO/Liberty Township, OH) started things off by reaching first base on a bobbled ball error.  Ethan Skowronski (FR/Cincinnati, OH) cashed in two batters later by belting a double to the left field fence to score Holt from first base.  The Skowronski RBI gave the Trailblazers a 1-0 lead and would prove to be the only run of the game.

West Virginia Tech made a late rally in the top of the 7th inning.  WVU-T started the inning off with a single and advanced the runner to third base with two outs.  French closed the door on the Tech rally by Trevor Lam to fly out to center field for the third and final out.  The Blazers came away with the 1-0 victory.

Ethan Skowronski led the OCU offense by going 2 for 3 with a double and single while also driving in the game winning run.

OCU is back in action on Saturday as they host Berea College in a doubleheader beginning at 2:00 PM.
