CLEVELAND, TN - After a very successful season, OCU drops their final game at NCCAA Regional Tournament to Hiwassee College. The Trailblazers lead in the game 1-0 at the end of the second inning. Hiwassee tied the game in the third inning scoring a run. With OCU trailing 3-1 in the top of the 8th inning, the Trailblazers fought back scoring a run. In the bottom of the 8th inning, Hiwassee College took control, scoring 6 runs and winning the game 9-2. 

 

"Unfortunately we rain out of steam," said Coach Grant Reynolds, "We did a great job clawing back into the match and just couldn't hold on."

 

OCU finished the game scoring 2 runs, on 9 hits and 1 error. Hiwassee College finished the game with 9 runs, on 15 hits and no errors. Pitching for the Trailblazers was Mike Miller (SR/Columbus, OH), Logan Webb (FR/Whitehall, OH), Kris Carius (JR/Columbus, OH), and Danarius Williams (JR/Cincinnati, OH). OCU concludes the season with a record of 15-20. "I am proud of the growth we have shown and I am excited about the future of the program," stated Coach Reynolds.
