CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The NCCAA Mid-East All Region team was announced this week with five Trailblazers named. Senior Richie French (SR/Waverly, OH) was named to First Team All Mid-East. Named to Second Team All Mid-East were Freshman Stephen Wood (FR/Liberty Township, OH), Ethan Skowronski (FR/Cincinnati, OH), Eric McClure (FR/Lancaster, OH), and Isaiah Haley (FR/Cincinnati, OH).

 

Senior Richie French ended the season pitching 53 and one third innings in 10 games, winning 5 and losing only 3. He finished with 36 strikeouts and an ERA of 3.27. He only allowed 19 earned runs in his last 10 games as a Trailblazer. Freshman Isaiah Haley in 35 games had 118 at bats, with 35 hits, 8 walks, 16 RBI's, and a batting average of 0.297. Freshman Stephen Wood finished the season with 24 game apperances, 74 at bats, 24 hits, 6 walks, 10 RBI's, and a batting aveage of 0.324. Freshman Ethan Skowronski had 32 game apperances, 100 at bats, 35 hits, 1 home-run, 5 walks, 20 RBI's, and a batting average of 0.350. Lastly, Freshman Eric McClure had 30 game apperances, 100 at bats, 30 hits, 2 walks, 18 RBI's, and a batting average of 0.300.

 

"Richie is fully deserving of this honor and it is a great way to cap off a stellar carrer at OCU ," said Coach Grant Reynolds, "This also bodes well for the future of the program with four freshman earning second team honors."
