CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The Maxwell Center was filled with excitement on Thursday night as Brescia came to Ohio Christian for KIAC action. The Trailblazers would hold a consistant lead after the first ten minutes of play. The Bearcats held tight, keeping the game close throughout. OCU would keep their lead through the end of the contest, taking a huge 79-75 conference win over Brescia.

The debut of "Belleman's Bomb for Books" was a hit. Spencer Reed was given the opportunity to win $250 towards books for next semester. He was unable to hit the shot, but still walked away with a gift card. Conor Mabry (JR/Lakewood, OH) made his Ohio Christian debut with 19 points and 2 assists. Nic Baker (JR/Hilliard, OH) and Gary Hoover (JR/Columbus, OH) both finished with 13 points.

"This was a tough conference win against the defending champions," said Coach Stockman, "We could not pull away with a lead, but we got the defensive stops and made the big time plays to win the game. Excited to get Conor Mabry on the floor as he fit right in with the team."

Senior Evin Bartlett (SR/Huber Heights, OH) had this to say after the game, "We played well, and the game begins to be fun when we start hitting shots and you hear the crowd behind you. Now everyone is beginning to get involved, which will really help us as we move forward."

The Trailblazers are back in action as they hit the road to Richmond, Indiana to face of with Indiana University - East on Saturday, January 9th.
