CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The Trailblazers traveled to Point Park University for KIAC conference action on Thursday night. With the Pioneers getting into foul trouble early in the contest, Ohio Christian would pull of a big 85-82 win over Point Park. The win moves Ohio Christian to 13-5 overall on the season and 3-2 in KIAC conference play.
Marquis Jackson (JR/Cleveland, OH) was loose in the early going, finishing with 20 points, 4 assists, and a rebound. Gary Hoover (JR/Columbus, OH) was a monster to the Pioneers with 15 big rebounds and 19 points. As a team, the Trailblazers finished 29 of 56 from field goal range, 15 of 32 from beyond the arc, and 13 of 20 from the free throw line.
Our upperclassman stepped up on the road and made the game winning plays," said Coach Stockman, "We needed a whole team effort to win this game and we did just that. Our guys played hard and played together."
The Pioneers had offensive production come from Jerah'me Williams, as he finished with 27 points and 5 assists. As a team, Point Park finished 31 of 51 from field goal range, 9 of 15 from beyond the arc, and 11 of 17 from the free throw line.
The men's basketball program is back in action on January 16th as West Virginia Tech comes to Ohio Christian University.
