CIRCLEVILLE, OH – It was a thrilling night of conference basketball action as they Ohio Christian University Trailblazers took on the Red Wolves of Indiana University East. The Trailblazers would take control of the game from the get go and keep it up until the final horn. Ohio Christian claimed the victory with a final score of 62-54. This bumps the Trailblazers to 16-6 overall for the season with a 6-2 record in conference play.

 

"I was very proud of the way our team played tonight," said OCU Head Coach Tony Stockman, "They followed the game plan and adjusted when needed. Our focus and effort were great; a good team win overall. We've got another hard game on Saturday. This is a good league and we are happy to be in it."

 

Marquis Jackson (JR/Cleveland, OH) could not miss as he went to score a solid 28 points, 21 of which came from behind the arc. Freshman Carmearl Thomas (FR/Compton, CA) contributed well for the team putting up 10 points and 4 rebounds. The Trailblazers collectively shot 24-56 from the field, going 10-26 from beyond the arc and 4-9 from the charity stripe.

 

The Trailblazers will be back in action on Saturday, January 30th as they take on the Golden Bears of West Virginia Tech.
