CIRCLEVILLE, OH – The Trailblazers were looking to bring home a win this weekend as they traveled to Montgomery, West Virginia to take on the Golden Bears of West Virginia Tech. In the end, OCU would claim the victory with a final score of 99-73. This puts Ohio Christian at 17-6 for the season with a 7-2 record in conference play.
"We were very focused on defense today and made them shoot hard shots" said OCU Head Coach Tony Stockman, "We talked about how they were ranked #2 in the country at offensive rebounding so we needed to make sure we boxed out and went after the ball, and we did a great job. On offense we played together and moved the ball very well. It was very impressive the way we shot the ball today. We played team basketball.
3 players on the Ohio Christian University roster would put up 20+ points during the game. Marquis Jackson (JR/Cleveland, OH) would score 23 points, Nic Baker (JR/Hilliard, OH) scored 21 points, and Conor Mabry (JR/Lakewood, OH) scored 20.
