CINCINNATI, OH – The Trailblazers of Ohio Christian hit the road this Saturday headed towards Cincinnati to take on the Eagles of Cincinnati Christian University. The Trailblazers would come out strong in the first half building up a 11-3 lead about halfway through the 1st. The Eagles would battle back from a rough start and bring it to 29-23 by halftime still in favor of OCU. The Eagles would come out ready to play in the 2nd half and with 9 minutes left to play in regulation, Cincinnati Christian took the lead. Ohio Christian would battle back in the final minutes, but free throws would prove to be too much for the Trailblazers. The Eagles would claim the victory with a final score of 67-59. This puts the Trailblazers at 20-7 on the season with a 9-4 record in conference play.


"I was upset our focus was not there to finish the game," said OCU Head Coach Tony Stockman, "You have to give CCU credit, they played very hard and executed at the end of the game."


Marquis Jackson (JR/Cleveland, OH) would be a solid contributor for the Trailblazers as he put up 15 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. Tribune Daily (SO/Toledo, OH) would have a good game coming off the bench scoring 8 points and grabbing 2 rebounds. The Trailblazers collectively shot 39.6% (21-53) from the floor, shooting 33.3% from beyond the arc and 61.5% from the charity stripe.

The Eagles would be led by Nick Seibert (11 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist), and Kenny Gaynor (9 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist) Cincinnati Christian shot 40.8% from the field.


The Trailblazers will be back at it again as they hit the road again to take on the Eagles of Asbury University.
