NEW ALBANY, IN - Ohio Christian University Baseball team finished out a 4 game set with KIAC foe IU - Southeast this Saturday. The Trailblazers baseball program would drop the final 2 games of the series by scores of 5-0 and 9-4.
In game one, Logan Webb shined for the Trailblazers, throwing a complete game while allowing 5 runs all which occurred in one inning. The rest of the game, Webb controlled the Grenadiers offense, keeping OCU within striking distance all game. The Blazers offense was held to 4 hits in game one. OCU was not able to put together a timely hit to push across a run and put pressure on IUSE. OCU would look to rebound in game 2 and take a game from the KIAC leader.
In game two, OCU would send Freshman Michael Anderson to the mound to try to salvage the series. IUSE would be too much for the Blazers, as they would score all 9 runs in the first 3 innings. The Trailblazers pitching staff would calm down, but the OCU offense could not dig out of the hole that they were in, as they scattered around 6 hits while scoring 4 runs, even leaving the bases loaded in the bottom of the 6th.
OCU will be back in action Tuesday, April 11th as UC Clermont comes to Ohio Christian University, with games beginning at 3 pm EST.
