CIRCLEVILLE, OH – The Ohio Christian University Athletic Department is excited to announce the addition of Men's and Women's Tennis for the 2016 – 2017 school year. The growth of student athletes on campus and the overall growth of the athletic department has given OCU the opportunity the add tennis to the program. Ohio Christian University will add to the 5 men's and 6 women's tennis programs within the KIAC conference, who announced Friday the new conference name, River States Conference.

With the addition of Men's and Women's tennis, Ohio Christian University Athletics is also pleased to announce Brent Martin as the new OCU Tennis Coach. Brent is a graduate of Cedarville University (B.A.) and Xavier University (M.A.). At his Alumni Cedarville University, Brent competed as a student athlete for 2007 – 2009 as a #2 in singles and was an NCCAA All-American. After his playing career, Brent spent two seasons as the Men's Tennis Assistant Coach.

With his experiences in business and sports, Brent will serve as a Professor in the Sports Management program on top of leading the Tennis program. 

"Brent will be a great addition to our athletic department staff. He brings energy and knowledge to beginning and building this new program at OCU," said Athletic Director Ben Belleman, "We anticipate the abilities he brings to the program and the University."
