CIRCLEVILLE, OH - Emily Miller and Drayah Johnston have been competing on the tennis court for years for rival schools at Logan Elm and Circleville High Schools. On the same day, both would make their college choice, placing them as new teammates. Drayah and Emily signed earlier on Friday afternoon as the first two signings in the new tennis programs at Ohio Christian University for the 2016 - 2017 school year. 


During the 2015 fall season, Drayah served as the tennis team captain for Logan Elm High School . Drayah finished with a record of 21-1 (excluding sectionals). Leading Logan Elm to their 6th Mid State League title, she received Mid State League 1st team in 2015 playing at 2nd and 3rd singles. Drayah also won the Logan Elm invitational along with the Grandview invitational. During the past three summers, Drayah has been given the opportunity to counsel younger athletes on tennis fundamentals.


Emily Miller is a Circleville High School standout, who recently made the choice to sign with Ohio Christian. Emily competed for all four years of high school and 2 years of Varsity. Her Senior year, Emily served as the team captain. In conclusion to her final season as a Tiger, she recieved 2nd Team MSL honors.


"Very pleased with the addition of Drayah and Emily," said new Head Coach Brent Martin, "It is very exciting to have our first two players in Emily and Drayah sign the same day. I am expecting both of them to contribute immediately to OCU Tennis. They both are two great athletes that will start this program in the right direction."
