DANVILLE, KY – The Ohio Christian Men's and Women's Track and Field teams traveled Centre College in Danville, Kentucky to compete in the Centre Twilight. 14 different schools would be there to compete in this event. At the end of the day, the men would finish 8th overall with a team score of 37 and the men finished 9th overall with a team score of 24.


On the track, Dylan Newton (SO/Williamsport, OH) would perform very well in the 3000m steeplechase placing 2nd overall with a time of 10:35.50. Brian Chandler (JR/Westerville, OH) also performed exceptionally as he placed 2nd overall out of 22 competitors in the 400m dash. He would also place 4th in the 200m dash. Faith Layman would compete in the women's 100m dash and place 11th overall out of 29 competitors. Erin Bailey and Paige Lewis also competed placing 12th and 19th respectively.

In throw events, Allison DeVore would excel greatly in the hammer throw placing 1st overall out of 15 competitors with a throw of 41.43m. Sidney Pell also competed throwing 33.37m placing 8th overall. Sidney would also compete in the shot put placing 3rd overall out of 18 with a distance of 11.85m. In the men's hammer throw, Jared Hostetler (FR/Shelby, OH) would throw 42.27m placing him 5th overall out of 23 who competed. Jared would also place 11th in the javelin throw, 12th in shot put, and 1st overall in the men's discus throw.

In jumping events, Paige Lewis and Erin Bailey both competed in the women's long jump placing 6th and 10th respectively. Ian Monaghan (SO/Baltimore, OH) would compete in the men's long jump placing 9th overall out of 20 competitors.


The Trailblazers will be back in action as the travel to Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio on the 23rd of April.
