TIFFIN, OH - On a hot Friday evening in Tiffin, OH, the Trailblazers Cross Country program toughed it out through the heat and had a great race. At the start of the evening, the thermometer was hitting 82°, which is extremely warm for a distance race. Overall, both the men and women were able to finish second out of six total schools. To add to the team's success, OCU also saw success individually. Canaan Gardner finished third overall in the 3.11 mile race with a time of 16:43.6. Three more finished in the top 25 as well. On the women's side, Ariel Young finished second overall with a time of 19:06.9. Overall, despite the heat, the Trailblazer's race Friday evening was a successful outing looking ahead. Next up for the team is a trip to Westerville, OH next weekend where they will participate in Otterbein University's Invitational.
