UNION, KY - After starting strong earlier this season with a win at home to kick off the Fall, the OCU men's golf team was ready to see how they would stack up against their conference foes as they competed in the RSC Fall Preview hosted by Midway University. The tournament was held at Lassing Pointe Golf Club located in Union, KY and consisted of 36 holes on Monday followed by another 18 on Tuesday. Following Round One, the Trailblazers found themselves in first place with a 308, holding onto a three stroke lead over Brescia. The team would then slow down in the afternoon to finish Day One tied for fourth place with Asbury at 630. The team would go on to shoot 308 in the final round to finish in solo fifth place out of eleven schools. Point Park would go on to win the tournament in a playoff over West Virginia Tech after shooting a total score of 919 over the two days of competition. 


Individually, Ben Bailey led OCU with a score of 233 (73-80-80), finishing in a tie for ninth place out of 60 total competitors. Michael Maxwell followed shortly behind by shooting a 235 (79-76-80). The rest of the team included Davis Wolff (84-78-75), Evan Brouwer (76-88-76), and Dylan Wilkerson (80-92-77). The team will now look ahead to the Mount Vernon Nazarene Cougar Classic, which is set to begin this Friday.
