PITTSBURGH, PA - The Trailblazers stayed in Pittsburg following their game against Carlow on Thursday, as they awaited a matchup against the Pioneers of Point Park University Saturday afternoon. The game would remain close the entire evening, with the only goal coming at the 52 minute mark by the Pioneers. The Trailblazers had a total of eight shots on goal, but failed to convert on any of them, finishing the game without a goal for the fourth time in a row. Despite the tough stretch, the team is remaining positive and continues to fight, which is making their coach proud of their perseverance.
"Defensively, we did a very good job as a whole. We did well late in games creating goal opportunities, but we can't find the back of the net. I do have to say that these boys don't give up. They keep fighting even after disappointment. I admire their persistence!" said Head Coach Josh Murton. The team will now return home to face Cincinnati Christian University on Thursday followed by a matchup against Asbury on Saturday. The team will also honor their seniors next weekend during their final home match of the year.
