MIDWAY, KY - The Trailblazers' Soccer team had an eventful week last weekend, winning in overtime to claim the victory over Asbury on Senior Night. Not only was the win huge for the program, it was also the first time OCU had ever beaten Asbury in men's soccer. The Trailblazers were hoping that they could carry that momentum over into this week as they traveled to take on the Eagles of Midway on Thursday evening. The game started out slowly, and would remain scoreless the entire first half. It wasn't until the fifty minute mark that Midway was able to get a ball past our defense to make the game 1-0.They would score again five minutes later, making the game 2-0 with 35 minutes to play. The Trailblazers would try to make their move at the sixty-two minute mark on a goal by Brent Palmer to make the score 2-1, but the Eagles proved too much to handle and went on to win 3-1.
OCU will now remain in Kentucky for a matchup against Brescia University this Saturday. Following that, they will have one game left on the slate before the end of the season against UC Clermont.
