CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The Trailblazers' Golf Program finished their Fall season this week with a trip to the Eagle Invitational hosted by Alice Lloyd College. The team has had an up and down season, and the players were hoping to all finish on a good note heading into the Winter. The story of the week would be the stellar play of Senior Michael Maxwell. Maxwell is currently in his final semester of eligibility, so this was his final tournament as a Trailblazer. The good news is that he appeared to save his best for last, shooting a combined score of 147 (73-74) to win the tournament with a one shot lead over Bob Jones's Micah Gold. Maxwell and Gold went toe to toe the whole tournament, but in the end Maxwell was able to par the final two holes to finish with the one shot advantage. Overall, OCU would finish in second place out of three total teams with a team score of 629 (313-316). Other individual scores include Davis Wolff with a 159 (81-78), Ben Bailey with a 160 (77-83), Evan Brouwer with a 163 (82-81), Dylan Wilkerson with a 176 (89-87), and Jacob Routzahn with a 190 (93-97).
