WILLIAMSBURG, KY - On Wednesday evening, the Trailblazers' basketball squad concluded a week of play in which they played five games in eight days. The last game on the week's slate was a trip to the University of the Cumberlands, where the Trailblazers knew fatigue would have to be overcome to compete against the Patriots. OCU would jump out to a quick lead early in the first half, but ultimately slowed down and could not keep up against Cumberlands. The team would trail 44-23 at the half, leading to a final score of 86-47. Sophomore Austin Marciniak would lead the team in scoring with a total of eight points, while also getting two rebounds and an assist. Gary Hoover also played well, getting seven points and six rebounds. After this busy stretch, the Trailblazers walk away with an overall record of 4-2, while going 3-2 in the past week.

Following the loss, Coach Stockman had this to say about his team: "It's the end of a long stretch for our team, plus a long trip today. The guy's were tired, I just wish we could have played better. I have to give the Patriots credit, they outworked us and made shots. We have a week until we play again, time to get some rest and get better over the next seven days."
