CEDARVILLE, OH - The Trailblazers' Basketball squad hit the road on Wednesday night to face a familiar in-state foe, the Yellowjackets from Cedarville University. OCU would enter the game with injury issues, as Gary Hoover returned from an injury while leading scorer Marquis Jackson sat out for the night with an injury. The first half would remain a low scoring battle, as each team fought hard to get to the basket. The Yellowjackets would cap off the first half going on a run to increase their lead to five going into the break.

In the second half, Cedarville continued to run the floor, capitalizing on their opportunities to increase their lead to 13 at one point. OCU gave it their best shot to make a comeback of their own, but fell just short, as the Yellowjackets would win 70-61. OCU was led by leading scorer John Johnson, who finished the game with 20 points and three assists. The game was counted as an exhibition for the Trailblazers, which means their record entering conference play this weekend stands at 5-5. OCU's first River States matchup of the year will be against the NAIA Preseason #9 ranked team in Indiana University East. This game has been selected as the RSC Game of the Week and will have extended coverage through the conference site. For more information, click here.
