MONTGOMERY, WV - On Tuesday night, the Trailblazers faced the Golden Bears from West Virginia Tech in a River States Conference battle. OCU would enter the game with a record of 5-8, hoping they could spark a run as they gear up for their busy conference schedule. The game would remain tight in the first half, with West Virginia Tech taking a slim five point lead into the halftime break. In the end, the Trailblazers could not stop Golden Bear Ryan Atkins, who scored 41 points, including going 12-15 from the free throw line. The Golden Bears would go on to win 88-76. Senior Marquis Jackson led the Trailblazers with 18 points, while Junior Jalen Hearn gathered three rebounds and three assists.

Following the game, Head Coach Tony Stockman had this to say on his team's performance: "They played us very physical the whole night. In the end, we just could not do anything to slow them down." OCU will now rest up for a trip to Rio Grande on Friday where they will take on the Red Storm at 4:00 PM.
