CIRCLEVILLE, OH - As Christmas closes in, the Trailblazers' basketball squad took to the court one final time on Monday evening before taking a week off to spend with family. OCU would face the Warriors from Indiana Tech University in what would prove to be a hard fought battle. The first half bounced back and forth between the two sides, before John Johnson's three pointer with one minute remaining increased the lead to five for OCU. The Trailblazers would take a four point lead into the break. The second half proved to be more difficult for the Trailblazers, as the Warriors began to find their rhythm, making shots when they needed them. Indiana Tech would keep it close, but pulled away at the end, winning 82-73. Senior Gary Hoover led the Trailblazers with 16 points, while also getting a double-double with 13 rebounds.
"I am happy with how our team is playing," said Head Coach Tony Stockman. "We are playing hard and playing together. Injuries have hurt us, but now the guys have seven days off to hopefully heal up and be 100% when we get back. We lost to a good team, but we competed with them the whole game."
