CIRCLEVILLE, OH - Coming off of an offensive explosion on Saturday, the OCU Trailblazers were hoping they could keep their hot hand as they move into the heart of their schedule. Things would remain the same on Tuesday night, as the Trailblazers faced the Wright State Lake Lakers at home in the two teams' second matchup of the season. Despite only winning by 11 in their first matchup, the Trailblazers quickly ran away with the lead, scoring 79 points in the first half to create a 48 point lead. The second half would prove to remain the same, as another good performance from Marquis Jackson (SR/Cleveland, OH) would push OCU to victory, winning 149-59. "We all want to succeed and make shots, and we wanted to prove to them that we have gotten better as the season has gone on," said Jackson. Jackson led all scorers with 34, followed by 3-PT specialist Austin Marciniak (SO/Green, OH) with 21. Gary Hoover (SR/Columbus, OH) would also have a good night, getting a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

To add to an already good night, the Trailblazers also set a new school record for 3-PT baskets made in a game with 24, surpassing the old record of 19. Overall, the team shot 24-41 from 3-PT for an astounding 58.5%. "We have been in the gym a lot lately getting up shots and sharing the ball. We know we need to score to win," said Head Coach Tony Stockman. "We need to continue to get better every game, practice, and drill, and the guys have been buying in to it."
