CIRCLEVILLE, OH - Flashing back to December, the Trailblazers finished their non-conference schedule with a scrimmage against the University of Toledo, an NCAA DI institution. The Trailblazers would come up short in that one, but the outcome showed the team how they could improve and what they needed to do to prepare for the conference season. Since then, OCU has run off six consecutive wins, mostly by large margins. Tuesday evening proved to be a much closer battle, however, as the Trailblazers had to show their grit and comeback ability against the Eagles from Cincinnati Christian University.

Despite trailing at the half, the Trailblazers used a strong second half effort to erase an eight point deficit, winning the game by the score of 87-80. A large key to OCU's recent strong play has been Gary Hoover, who once again put together a double double with 18 points and 18 rebounds. Following behind leading scorer Marquis Jackson, Hoover, along with other key players such as Nic Baker and Austin Marciniak, have stepped up and played at a high level throughout the month. The team will hope to keep that momentum rolling, as next up on the schedule is a matchup with IU Kokomo at home on Saturday afternoon.
