CIRCLEVILLE, OH - No matter what the circumstances are, the Lady Trailblazers have stepped up to the challenge this season. After already losing two girls to injury on the season, OCU lost another key player on Saturday early on in Michaela Puckett. Despite the additional injury, the Lady Trailblazers showed up to play, defeating the Cougars from Indiana University Kokomo 52-47. The lead would bounce back and forth all day, with OCU taking a one point advantage into the fourth quarter. The Cougars would attempt a comeback, but key free throws and another clutch performance down the stretch from Bre Hearn would distance the Lady Trailblazers, leading to the victory.

Paige Lewis would lead the team in scoring with 17, while also gathering nine rebounds. "Were coming to practice ready to go every day. Like Coach said, were fighting through adversity and were doing it for each other," said Lewis. Bre Hearn also had a good performance, scoring 10 points to go with two steals.

Next up for the Lady Trailblazers will be a visit from Indiana University Southeast on Tuesday. For more on the Lady Trailblazers' Basketball team and the rest of OCU Athletics, follow us on Twitter (@OCUtrailblazers) and Facebook (Ohio Christian University Trailblazers)
