CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The Lady Trailblazers six game winning streak came to a close on Tuesday evening, despite a hard fought battle with the Grenadiers from Indiana University Southeast. Coming into the game, OCU was riding a wave of momentum, as they had run off six wins in a row and had just bumped into the NAIA National Coaches Poll on Tuesday afternoon. This is the first time in the program's history to be recognized nationally within the NAIA. The matchup Tuesday evening would start out close, as the two teams would trade the lead back and forth. OCU would pull away at the end of the first half, however, as they took a four point lead into the break. The third quarter would remain close, but the Grenadiers would come out hot in the fourth quarter, quickly building a 10 point lead with six minutes remaining. Indiana University Southeast would manage to hold off OCU the rest of the way, going on to win by the score of 68-60.

Shawntell Parsons (SR/Belpre, OH) would lead the Lady Trailblazers in scoring with 15 points, while Erinn Bailey (SR/Dayton, OH) would get a double double with 10 points and 13 rebounds. The Lady Trailblazers now stand at 15-7 overall with a 6-4 record in River States Conference play. Next up, OCU will travel to Brescia University on Thursday to take on the Bearcats.
