CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The OCU Trailblazers seven game winning streak came to an end on Tuesday evening, as the Trailblazers would struggle shooting the ball against a tough Indiana University Southeast squad. The Grenadiers entered the game as the #1 seed in the RSC West Division, as the Trailblazers sat at the #3 spot in the East. The game would remain close throughout the first half, as the teams would trade the lead with five points being the largest gap. The Grenadiers would finish the half on a mini-run, taking a five point advantage into the break. OCU would score first in the second half on a Gary Hoover basket, only to see the Grenadiers lead quickly grow to as high as 24 points with 12 minutes remaining. The final score would stand at 93-74 in favor of IU Southeast.
The Trailblazers would be led in scoring by Marquis Jackson with 29, while recent standout Jalen Hearn put up 18 points to go along with seven rebounds, two steals, and two assists. The Trailblazers now stand at 12-11 overall, with a 6-4 record within River States Conference play. Next up, the Trailblazers will travel to face Brescia on Thursday.
