The Eagles of Midway University rolled into the Maxwell Center of Ohio Christian University this past Saturday to take on the Trailblazers in the River States Conference game of the week. Both teams came ready to play in this conference matchup, but OCU would take control in the 1st half holding a 13-point lead as they headed into the locker room for halftime. Coming back from halftime, the Trailblazers would continue to take control hitting back to back threes to give them an 18 point lead with a little over 6 minutes to go in the 3rd. Midway would cut the lead down to 9 with 2 minutes left to go in the 4th, but in the end it would not be enough as the Trailblazers take the victory with a final score of 65-53. This bumps the Trailblazers to 8-4 in conference play, tying them for second in the East.

Paige Lewis (SR/Mechanicsburg, OH) would lead the Lady Trailblazers this afternoon scoring 16 points and grabbing 7 boards. She also collected 4 steals throughout the game. The Trailblazers collectively shot 41.3% from the field.

The Trailblazers will travel to Pennsylvania on February 3rd to take on Carlow University, followed by Point Park the next day.
