CIRCLEVILLE, OH - Coming off an upset win over West Virginia Tech at home on Tuesday, the Trailblazers were looking ready to make a deep run into the RSC Tournament. However, the whole team knew that the two games left on the schedule were going to be anything but easy. As Rio Grande arrived on Saturday, the game quickly showed that the final score would come down to the wire, as both teams were fighting for seeding within the tournament. The first half would remain neck and neck, with OCU taking a three point lead into the break. Despite a good effort from the Red Storm to make a comeback, the Trailblazers were able to withstand the pressure and pull out a four point 78-74 win to get to 17-12 on the year.

A large part of the Trailblazers win on Saturday was due to a season best performance from Claude Bogan (SR/Columbus, OH). Bogan had a huge first half, finishing with 15 points for the game with two rebounds and two assists. Marquis Jackson (SR/Cleveland, OH) continued his terrific senior season, scoring 30 points while going 9-10 from the free throw line. "We told our guys the same thing coming into today, and that is understanding the changes we needed to make and continue improving our defense which has been a lot better," said Head Coach Tony Stockman. "Our last two games have been a grind, both big strong teams that are much larger than us. We are excited to hopefully continue this streak and get some revenge over IU East next week as we honor our seniors."
