CIRCLEVILLE, OH - After losing by eight to Indiana University Southeast in January, the Lady Trailblazers needed little motivation going into Wednesday's RSC Quarterfinal. Coming off of a close loss on Senior Day, OCU was focused and ready to make a run deep into the postseason. Despite the outcome earlier in the season against the Grenadiers, the Lady Trailblazers came out firing, building a quick seven point lead after the 1st Quarter, extending it to 15 heading into halftime. The Grenadiers were able to slow down OCU's offense slightly in the second half, but the Lady Trailblazers' stifling defense held IU Southeast at bay, leading to the 79-62 win.

"We knew after the first matchup that we needed to get our zone offense tightened up," said Head Coach Jamey Batten. "Once we forced them into man-to-man, we felt very comfortable knowing we just had to hold tight on defense. There isn't a team in this conference we look at and say we can't beat them. We know we have to win our way into the National Tournament, so that is our goal."

Next up on the slate, the Trailblazers will travel to IU Kokomo on Saturday to face the Cougars at 2:00 PM EST in the River States Conference Semi-Finals. More information for Saturday's matchup will be available on the athletic site later today.
