WINONA LAKE, IN - After coming up short of the NAIA National Tournament on Saturday, the Trailblazers still had plenty to play for with the chance at the NCCAA National Tournament set to begin in two weeks at Grace College. On Wednesday, OCU traveled to face the Lancers from Grace College in the regional final. With a win, the Trailblazers would punch their ticket to the tournament and get two weeks to prepare for a deep postseason run. OCU came out on fire, jumping out to a quick 10 point lead, capitalizing on each and every possession. At the half, the Trailblazers would lead the Lancers by 12. Grace would attempt to make a run out of the halftime break, cutting the lead to seven, but in the end the Trailblazers pulled away once again to take the 94-80 win. OCU will now await the bracket announcement from the NCCAA to see their opponent in the opening round set to begin March 15.

"Our guys came out ready to play. They understood the importance of the game!" said Head Coach Tony Stockman. "We have won the regional championship every year that I have been here and for the three years before that. We execute the game plan and played hard. I am excited for the opportunity that we have now."
