CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The Ohio Christian University Lady Trailblazers continued their recent success on Wednesday afternoon as they split a doubleheader with Rochester College. Ultimately, OCU would dominate both games, but a big seventh inning from the Lady Warriors in Game One would lead to a big comeback win. Lexi Williams (SR/Swanton, OH) would take the mound for the first matchup, pitching six strong innings before allowing the go ahead runs. Offensively, the Lady Trailblazers saw multiple players deliver in the clutch, led by catcher Aubrey Geis (SR/Delta, OH) who would go 2-3 while picking up 2 RBI's.
In Game Two, OCU came out looking for revenge. Whitney Fiedler (FR/Brookville, OH) would pitch a complete game, giving up only three runs on nine hits while striking out three. On offense, the Lady Trailblazers would explode for nine runs, including a four run sixth inning that included a triple by Caroline Rice (JR/Thaxton, VA) and doubles from Aubrey Geis and Whitney Fiedler. Jenna Higgins (SO/Hilliard, OH) would also pitch in a good effort, going 2-3 with 2 RBI's. OCU's record now sits at 11-27 overall and 3-9 in RSC play.
